WEPP Post-Fire Erosion Prediction (PEP) Interface

This website will be permanently discontinued on May 31, 2019.
Please migrate to the newer tool, WEPPCloud.
All runs on this interface will be inaccesible after May 31.

The Water Erosion Prediction Project (WEPP) - PEP Interface is a computer simulation tool that estimates soil
erosion following an actual or simulated wildfire from soil burn severity maps.

Enter WEPP PEP Start Page

This interface allows Soil Burn Severity (SBS) maps to be customized and ran through the WEPP watershed model.

The simulations are performed on University of Idaho servers and model results are displayed in interface.

Model outputs include:

  • spatial soil loss
  • runoff
  • peak flows for small watersheds (< 400 hectares, < 1000 acres)
